I was born in the western countryside of Germany, so close to the Dutch border that the cows probably spoke two languages.
That rural start might not scream “future film editor,” but it gave me an eye for details and a love for stories hidden in plain sight. I believe that editing is not about control. It‘s about trust. Trusting the rhythm of a scene, the silence between words, the unexpected shift that turns something crafted into something real. What sets my work apart is not a signature style but a commitment to authenticity and narrative precision. I don’t cut to impress. I cut to uncover. My strongest tools are empathy, restraint, and the courage to let an image breathe.
Today, I’m a Berlin-based, award-winning editor, shaping images and sound into narratives that stick.
I do work with production companies such as Somesuch, Zauberberg, Stink Films, Tempomedia, Psyop, and Radical Media.
When I’m not cutting, I’m mentoring or judging, giving back to the creative community that fuels me.
